Japanese secret nutrient to amazingly low body fat

Picture a Japanese person. I bet you're imagining a typically slim person in a kimono... or a sumo wrestler, right? While a sumo wrestler is artificially obese (they might disturb their sleep to eat so they can gain weight), the majority of the Japanese population is slim. According to recent OECD stats, only 3.7% are obese. That's amazing, in the light that most of the developed world is fighting the bulge.

My gosh, how do we get such wonderful results... what's their secret?

In contrast, permanent weight loss is difficult. If you're like most, then you'll lose a bit... and gain it back again. We've been losing the same 10lbs for years. But the Japanese seem to have it under control. Even though they have a culture of mandatory exercise and obedience and being overweight is unacceptable, in fact, it's almost law, their biggest fat draining factor is their diet.

As a matter of fact, the foods they eat have an impact. They contain ingredients that could change fat cells. Therefore, you could increase your resting energy expenditure and metabolic rate and lose weight with a compound chemists found back in 2006. They found that a common Asian ingredient contains...

...a nutrient that appears to promote weight loss by reducing fat buildup

Japanese diet for amazing weight loss

Seeing that the Japanese have been eating this for more than 2,000 years. Plus, according to the UN's Food & Agriculture Org, Japanese people eat some 100,000 tons of edible seaweed products annually. The three main products being nori, kombu (kelp) and wakame. Although, on average, the daily Japanese diet is said to contain around 5g of seaweed. So the actual consumption could be more than double the UN's data suggests. It's not that surprising to find a compound within seaweed that helps them stay slim and healthy.

However, some are concerned by seaweed because many of the weeds contain very large amounts of iodine. Therefore, a fear your thyroid gland could be inflamed is possible. You could develop a goitre (enlarged thyroid gland). Eating Kombu and Wakame may be concerning but Nori seaweed is quite low in iodine. However, cooking seaweed reduces the iodine levels and may totally eliminate the risk of toxicity. So if you buy it raw, boil it first to remove the iodine.

On the other hand, if you do not desire eating sushi wrapped in Nori or any of the many other seaweed products, then you can get the benefits in a supplement form. In fact, you're probably wiser taking a supplement for weight loss rather than changing to a Japanese diet. I'll explain...

...Remember the discovery in 2006 that showed us the potential of seaweed. Well, the scientist found fucoxanthin, a compound that gives brown seaweed its colour and also converts light into energy, appeared to stimulate UCP1 protein.

This causes fat oxidation and converts energy to heat in white fat cells surrounding internal organs

In the study, the animals that were fed fucoxanthin not only cause them to lose weight and increase their metabolisms but the pigment also appeared to stimulate the liver to produce an omega-3 fatty acid, DHA. They made quantities similar to taking fish oil supplements. Although, at that point, the researchers suggested that you probably need to eat daily large amounts of brown seaweed to cause weight loss. It's because fucoxanthin is bound to proteins in the seaweed and not easily absorbed.

Nevertheless, we move forward a few years and now we have promising human results. With many searching for a safe diet pill because most revolutionary weight loss pills that have come and gone had unpleasant side-effects. Some were actually damaging and had their licence taken away. But the ones that remained didn't work, simply because those taking the supplements could not tolerate the optimal doses.

Now, with the discovery of a non-stimulating metabolic-enhancing nutrient that works by making the powerhouse of white adipose fat cells transfer their stored energy, resulting in an increase of resting energy expenditure and metabolic rate. Plus, fucoxanthin shows some remarkable health benefits. It could lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer.

Pomegranate seed oil aids weight loss

It turns out, for the best weight loss results you need a little bit more than the seaweed extract... you'll need pomegranate seed oil too. In the 16-week trial, obese females not only lost weight but were able to reduce liver fat and increase their metabolism too. Also, by looking at the results of the study you'll notice that you might need five to sixteen weeks before the effects kick in.[1,2]

Given these points, pomegranates are in season so it's a perfect time to add them to your diet along with everything wrapped in seaweed. Or you can supplement with the extracts to help boost your weight loss.
